In-Shelter Donations

There are many ways to give at the Humane Society! From gently used sheets and blankets to our ongoing Bottle Drive, there are plenty of non-monetary donations that can contribute to the daily care of our animals.

Bottle Drive

Bring your empty beer, wine and spirits bottles cans to the shelter or our other drop off locations across the region. It’s a great way to help animals in need.

Our bottle drive is a popular and easy way to help us care for animals in need in Hastings and Prince Edward. Monies raised go towards daily animal care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, parasite treatments and more.

Help our animals with needed supplies

We are deeply grateful for every donation we receive. Your generosity helps keep our operating costs down so we can direct more resources toward caring for the animals who depend on us.

Amazon Wishlist

A convenient way to support is through our Amazon Wish List, where you can select needed items and have them delivered directly to the shelter. For those who prefer to donate in person, we’d love to see you!  There is also a drop-off box available for after-hours donations.

Kennel Dedication Program

The Kennel Dedication Program is a heartfelt way to create a lasting impact for the animals in our care while honouring someone special in your life. Through an annual dedication, supporters may recognize a loved one in honour of, in memory of, or in celebration of their life by dedicating a cat kennel within our shelter.

A publicly viewed kennel in the cat adoption room may be dedicated for $500 per year, or one of our Cat Medical Intake kennels for $250 per year. Each dedication directly supports the comfort, care, and enrichment of the animals who call Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward a temporary home, while serving as a visible and meaningful legacy of compassion.

Dedication plaques measure 2” x 5” and are securely affixed to the selected cat kennel. Plaque messages are limited to 250 characters. To participate in this special program, please complete the attached application form.
