What an incredible day at the 11th Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward Wiggle Waggle Pet Festival & Walkathon!
Thanks to our amazing community of supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and animal lovers, we are thrilled to share that we raised just over $82,000 - a record-breaking total for this event!
From wagging tails and joyful walks to smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments, this year’s festival truly showcased the power of coming together to give deserving animals their second chance. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps provide medical care, shelter, and brighter futures for the animals waiting for their forever families.

The Wiggle Waggle Walkathon is a lively, community‑driven fundraiser hosted by the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward (HSHPE), bringing together animal lovers, families, and their four‑legged companions for a day of outdoor fun and meaningful impact. It blends a charity walk with a full pet‑friendly festival, creating an event that supports animal care while celebrating the bond between people and pets.
About the event
The Wiggle Waggle Walkathon is HSHPE’s signature annual fundraiser, held at Centennial Park in Trenton. Participants register as individuals or teams, collect pledges, and walk for a cause with their pets. Funds raised directly support the shelter’s programs and the care of animals in need.
